4月8日，四川内江的页岩气井资201井，测试获稳定日产气量73.88万立方米，这是全球首次在距今5.4亿年的寒武系古老页岩地层，钻获具有商业开发价值的高产工业气流！
本次寒武系页岩气勘探战略性突破，开辟了四川盆地页岩气规模增储上产新的阵地，标志着我国页岩气勘探开发由志留系一枝独秀，到二叠系、寒武系百花齐放，对推动川渝地区国家天然气（页岩气）千亿立方米级产能基地建设，拉动区域经济社会发展，助力保障国家能源安全具有战略性意义。
4月8日，在井口压力稳定在47.80兆帕的条件下，测试获稳定日产气量73.88万立方米，计算无阻流量164.89万立方米。初步估算资201井单井可采储量超过1.7亿立方米，可满足100多万户家庭1年的用气需求。
通过实钻证实，资201井获高产的页岩层系储层厚度大、品质优、保存条件好，落实建产有利区面积超3000平方千米，页岩气资源量近2万亿立方米。资201井获高产商业性气流，标志着四川盆地寒武系页岩气即将进入规模效益开发新阶段，是继二叠系吴家坪组取得重大勘探发现之后，四川盆地获得的又一重大战略性突破。
