伊拉克西古尔纳-1油田（West Qurna 1）牵头合同者交接仪式于本月1日在伊拉克南部省份巴士拉举行，中国石油正式接替埃克森美孚石油公司成为西古尔纳-1油田牵头合同者。
交接仪式在伊拉克南部的巴士拉省举行，伊拉克官员、中国外交官以及中石油、巴士拉石油公司、埃克森美孚等公司的代表出席了交接仪式。
西古尔纳1号油田位于巴士拉西北约50公里处，是伊拉克最大的油田之一，估计年原油产量超过2500万吨。据报道，该油田是全世界最大的油田之一，预计可采储量超过200亿桶。巴士拉石油公司说，伊拉克和中石油计划在2024年底将产量提高到每天60万桶。
历经三年 尘埃落定

早在三年前，外媒就曾曝出，中石油和中海油正在考虑收购埃克森美孚公司在伊拉克一处油田的剩余股份，即埃克森美孚持有的伊拉克西古尔纳1油田(West Qurna 1)32.7%的股权。
最终，继印尼国家石油公司买下了埃克森美孚公司剩余10%的股份，使其持股份额提高至20%，2023年11月，伊拉克国营的巴士拉石油公司收购了埃克森美孚公司在西古尔纳-1油田22.7%的股份。至此，埃克森美孚正式全面退出伊拉克市场。中石油成为西古尔纳-1油田最大的持股方。
这家美国超级石油巨头将把其在伊拉克最后剩余的上游资产出售给国营的巴士拉石油公司，从而解决了长达数年的关于其退出条款的冲突。
