能源市场数据公司Platts Bentek近日指出，美国大陆2月份日均天然气产量达到733亿立方英尺，创出纪录新高。2月份日均产量较1月份增长约2%，这给天然气价格带来进一步压力。
为了应对价格下跌，能源公司削减了天然气开采量，但仍积极提升高产量气井的产量，加之美国经历了异常暖和的冬季，这导致春季来临之际，天然气行业要同时应对供应过剩和价格下跌。年初迄今，天然气价格已跌去近四分之一。自去年5月份以来，全球天然气价格下跌了40%左右，今年以来的跌幅约为23%。
